At 5:00pm on 5th March the RFU published a provisional plan for a phased return to full rugby activities for Season 2020-2021.
Further guidance on requirements has been promised in the “next couple of weeks”. The ‘Return to Community Rugby Roadmap’ takes in current government advice so is different to previous ’Roadmaps’.
All at Rochdale RUFC must remain at Stage A until at least 29th March. This means individuals are only allowed to exercise alone or with one other person from another household. Normal training is not yet possible.
However, to prepare for better times ahead, we shall consider RFU requirements, how they will be implemented and the impact on our premises, players, visitors and volunteers. This will include updating risk assessment and procedures.
So there is a fair amount of work to do. We ask for your continued patience until the route forward becomes clearer. When it is possible to move to the next stage, Stage D1 (touch and tag matches), we hope to be ready for permitted rugby activity.
Further announcements will follow as soon as possible.
