It was a pleasure to welcome a Spanish touring team, Club de Rugby Complutense Cisneros, based in the centre of Madrid, and who compete in Spain’s top flight league.
Our Under 13’s and Under 15’s were delighted to run out against some top quality opposition, on a day which had more in common with Mediterranean sunshine than a typical Rochdale afternoon! After a tightly-fought and high quality set of games, the visitors edged us in both age groups in very well-tempered and respectful matches. Our Junior section will hope to visit their grounds over the next few years to repay the favour!
